Meet your hosts

Your Cotswolds hosts, Angharad Jones & Joseph Campbell (Ang & Joe) have returned to the UK after working on luxury Belmond (previously Orient Express) hotel barges in France for over fifteen years combined, with Joe as the barge Captain and Ang as the Hostess, where their love for the luxury hospitality industry was born.
The Welsh couple met six years ago when they were introduced by Joe’s sister, just four weeks before Ang was due to leave on a one-way ticket to India, planning on travelling Asia with her backpack for a year, before moving to Australia to work. Fortunately for Joe, he was able to interrupt her plans, and after six months she returned to France to work alongside Joe on the barges.
During their time on the barges they recognised the unique charm captured on these vessels; the ‘unpack once’ experience which led their guests to feel completely at home, whilst enjoying all the amenities of a five-star hotel. Eager to return to the UK one day (and with the severe lack of navigable canals in the country) they created a ‘barging on land’ concept from a 16th century Manor House in one of the most picturesque regions of Great Britain: The Cotswolds.
After several years in this industry, they have acquired life-long friendships with the guests they have hosted. In 2018, they spent ten weeks travelling around the U.S.A, visiting twenty-eight sets of previous guests along the way. They are passionate about the bond which is created as their guests spend a week in the care of the small team of four, creating a wonderful ‘home from home’ experience in the world of relaxed luxury.
Their friendly nature, timeless professionalism & passion for attentive service will make your stay with Jones & Campbell an unforgettable one. They have combined their valuable experience, attention to detail and exceptional love for people to ensure your every expectation is exceeded during your stay.

The dictionary defines hospitality as “the quality or disposition of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, friendly, generous way.” You both meet and surpass the definition. After spending one week as your guests I can say for certain that you two are the epitome of good hosts. From your warm welcome to your anticipation of our every need and wish, we felt that we were in the presence of wonderful people. Your style, finesse and warmth made our week together one that I will forever cherish. My husband and I have traveled extensively and consider you as two of the most professional hosts we have ever met.
